Talbot Reel & Mfg. " STAR " K.C. Mo. Trade Reel for Schmelzer Arms Co. K.C. Mo. with Leather Case Circa -1912. This is a very fine trade reel for Schmelzer Arm Company K.C. MO. All german silver and is very clean, very fast and the clicker is strong and loud. Beautiful simple head plate rim with raised edges on both sides . The foot is clean and not manicured. The counter balanced handle is clean and straight and the grip spins freely. Bearing covers are knurled, clean and again correct for this reel. The leather case is in good condition with a working buckle but frail. A fantastic example of the Talbot Star reel to collect or fish and a must have for Schmelzer collectors.
