Vintage extremely Rare Wheeler & McGregor Milwaukee Reel No. 3 Level Wind Pat'd May- 29 & June 26, 1894. This is the first version of this reel Circa 1895 and this Reel was only made for a couple years. This was the first Level winding reel sold commercially. This reel functions perfectly with a smooth sliding line level wind, and a strong clicker mounted on the handle side rim. Reel spins fast and smooth. The face shows Wheeler & McGregor , Milwaukee, Wis., Patent dates along with the size 3. Pillars are clean and sculptered brilliantly. Foot is full length. Handle is catalog correct and in perfect working condition with a free spinning grip. Fantastic Rare old time classic reel that should be part of every collection.
