Rare Shapleigh Special Gold Plated Brass Jeweled 80 yard Circa-1918. This is somewhat of a mystery Reel as to maker. Many guys believe, Montague, Hendryx, and even Pflueger had there hands in the design at least. It falls into the same catagory as the Minipip, and Frankfurth Special in Pillar design and general looks including the foot design. This reel is in very very fine condition and spins very fast , smooth, and the clicker is strong and loud. The gold plated jewels are just spectacular. The foot and handle are in fine condition and all parts are catalog correct. Great Reel.
