Bronson Trade Reel for Oklahoma Tire Supply "Long Life" Level Wind with Original Box Circa- 1930. The Oklahoma oil booms (1905-1929) attracted immigrants from around the world. After World War I, Lithuanian Jewish immigrants Sam, Maurice and Herman Sanditen moved to Okmulgee with business aspirations and in pursuit of the American Dream. In 1918, the brothers opened Oklahoma Tire and Supply Company (OTASCO) to sell automobile supplies and later sold products including radios, appliances and toys. By 1959 the family operated 86 stores and supplied 167 franchised stores. This is a smooth spinning level wind reel made as a trade reel for Oklahoma Tire & Supply Co.. Its in great shape and all parts work as intended. Level wind is smooth and clicker is strong. The reel has a Aluminum spool with a wood arbor and a tournament handle. Box is in good stored condition showing some wear to the top only and a very nice clear label. Cool Combo.
