Rare Shakespeare made South Bend “St Joe” #1172 Wide Body Skeleton 125 Yard Circa-1935. Here is the very Rare South Bend wide body skeleton made only 4 years starting in 1935. Made by Shakespeare for South Bend of steel and extremely flimsy light weight metal especially for the extra size. This cool reel functions well and spins smooth and straight. The rear plate mounted clicker functions but its not loud with a worn pawl on the end. I made no attempt to repair or replace it. Just a really incredible very tough reel to find for any skeleton, Shakespeare or South Bend collector.
