Ranger Reel company was a product of the Post War effort to put people back to work and help satisfy the returning GI with its hunger of fishing and the outdoors. It was a smart reel with a short life and eventually after a few years sold to Pioneer Tackle Company also from Michigan. This Fine example is extremely Clean, Candy Apple Red and shows beautifully. Spins amazing , Fast and smooth with a level wind that glides easily side to side. The spool is aluminum and also very light weight. The clicker is strong and loud. The handle and foot both are catalog correct and extremely clean. Box is rare and shows storage wear, with a clean label and holds this very fine reel very well. Great Post War Reel.
