S. E. Bogdan No, 1 Large Salmon Fly reel
A nice Bogdan No. 1 salmon reel, set up for RHW. 3 3/4" diameter with a 1 3/16" spool width. Mechaniically everything functions perfectly on this nice condition overall gem and it spins fast, smooth and straight. Good boardering with just a couple small nicks in the usual resting places and there is a little wear to the drag adjuster edges, though the sideplates are quite clean. Those sideplates are anodized black and the frame, spool, crank, foot, oil port cover, poacher's knob, and Bogdan nameplate are all clear anodized aluminum. The reel has a catalog weight of 13 ounces, and was built to hold a #10 line with 150 yds of #20 backing. 2:1 multiplier retrieve and the vaunted Bogdan drag design. No.1 is stamped into the bottom inside of the foot plate. A great model for salmon and steelhead.
