Pflueger Extremely Rare "FAULTLESS" Model No. 863 Sandwich Plate Hard Rubber & Nickel Silver Jeweled Circa-1916. This is a rare reel never seen this fine. Very tough rarely seen because the side plates with the aluminum inserts failed on these and the hard rubber plates broke free, cracked and split. This spectacular looking Faultless because of the defects only lasted for 4-5 years of production. The aluminum inserts were used to help keep the weight down on this light weight bass or walleye reel. This is about as nice of a example I have seen in near mint condition but its been fished a little. Reel spins amazing, fast and its smooth as any reel you will ever spin. Hard rubber is in near perfect condition and nickel silver is as well. Rear plate mounted clicker works perfectly. The foot and handle are both clean of any defects and everything on this reel is catalog correct per the last photo. Incredible reel!
