KINEYA MODEL 100 FLY REEL KYOTO, JAPAN
A nice Truly Unique Kineya model 100 reel, one of their smallest and lightest offerings. 2 1/4" diameter it weighs a scant 3.1 ounces. Aluminum silver finish with "Model 100" and the Kineya logo found on the backplate. Solid winding plate. German silver foot and pillars. Appears to be unfished. In 2000, Masatoshi Okui started making high-end bench-made fly reels in Kyoto Japan. His reels, although contemporary, are now highly sought after by both fishermen and collectors alike. Masatoshi not only produces reels of his own design, but he also has reproduced some classic reels from days gone by. Spectacular!!
