Extremely Early J.V.H. Reel with flat top pillars rarely seen up for Sale. This is a very fine small Julius Vom Hofe Raised Pillar Fly Reel for Abbey & Imbrie N.Y. 2-1/4" Size 3 German Silver & Hard Rubber. The foot is untouched and is stamped with the number 3. It measures 1 inches from pillar to pillar inside and the diameter of the side plate is 2 1/4 inches. The ebonite side plates are in terrific condition with no cracks, chips or damage. Mechanically it functions flawlessly spinning extremely smooth and with a strong working clicking action in both directions.
