J.S. SHARPE 4" Fly Reel Single Action Aluminum Alloy Circa - 1926. This reel comes from a renoun Rod maker who really only hand made a few of his own reels up until the War. All of his hand made reels are marked internally with the letter S as you can make out in the final 2 photos. This is a big 4 inch reel in fantastic shape showing almost no sign of wear from its almost 100 year old history. No wobble at all and clicks perfectly in both direction. Its also very light weight for this big size. The rim detail is spectacular and trimmed elegantly. Very nice big simple reel That would look great on any shelf or on a Rod made by J.S. Sharpe.
