Bronson THE NEW YORKER No. #1880 Level Wind Trade reel for Horrocks-Ibbotson Co Utica, NY. with Original Box Circa-1930. This is a Rare very clean example of a Bronson Trade Reel not often seen. This popular take-apart level-wind was produced by Bronson during the 30’s and early 40’s. It’s virtually identical to Bronson’s No.3000 “Master” reel from their regular line-up. Removing the three thumbscrews on the front completely disassembles the reel for servicing. These were supplied to and sold through Horrocks-Ibbotson Co. and perhaps other retailers and wholesalers, as well. Reel spins fast and smooth with a strong operating clicker. The level wind flies side to side smoothly. All parts are catalog correct. The box shows some shelf wear with a pretty nice label. Just a Great collectors Combo.
