B.C. Milam No.#3 Circa -1883
Vintage B.C. Milam No. # 3 German Silver Fishing & Casting Reel . The reel is extremely clean, smooth and fast with a strong Clicker and Brake. The breadbasket is Knurled nicely and sits in the rarely seen 6 o’clock position with the big clean counter balanced handle on top and knurled screw housing locking it in place. We know this reel was made after 1883 and most likely 1887 as it is serialized with the number #5984 buried between the bottom foot pillars. The reels foot is full length and clean maybe with a little fisherman manicure on the front tip. This is a very fine example of a true Kentucky reel made by who most people believe was the finest reel maker ever.
